There’s lots to do at JoNo’ HideAway: Kayaking at world famous Dodd’s Narrows, West Coast rain forest photography, Cable Bay Trail, hiking, exploring Coombs, and more. Located in central Vancouver Island near Nanaimo, Qualicam Beach, Parksville, Ladysmith and Duncan. We’re 3 hours drive from Long Beach, Tofino and Ucluelet and an hour and a half from Victoria. There’s so much to see and explore.
Or, simply stay at JoNo’s and enjoy the grounds and day walks to the sea or bike along country roads making sure to come ‘home’ for fabulous home cooked meals.
The piano plays everyday and we sing along with the guitar. We’ll tell you stories of the West Coast, logging, fishing from our personal history of growing up on Vancouver Island.
Cable Bay Trail - A West Coast Rain Forest Experience
Cable Bay Trail is one of the Top 10 day hikes on Vancouver Island, a fabulous place to spend a day photographing flora and fauna deep in a West Coast Rain Forest.
You’ll most likely see Eagles, Seals barking along the sea, Dodd’s Narrows which are a stiff challenge to kayakers with its fierce rip tide.
You’ll experience a wide assortment of the Vancouver Island experience in one day along the easy to moderate day hike.
